Another comforting casserole recipe
This easy-to-prepare potato and leeks casserole makes for a great winter dish.
INGREDIENTS
- 3-4 leeks
- 6-8 potatoes, peeled and sliced thing
- ½ cup grated sharp cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease a baking dish
- Cut green tops from the leek stalks and discard
- Roughly chop bottom of leeks
- Place a layer of potatoes in the bottom of greased baking dish
- Place layer of leeks, salt and pepper on top of potatoes
- Repeat layering until out of ingredients and end with a layer of potatoes
- Top with enough cheese to cover the potatoes
- Pour over heavy cream
- Bake at 350 for one hour
